The list is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 grade point average or better throughout their college careers. An all-time high of 1,661 players from a record 426 schools qualified for membership in the society's 13
thyear.

In addition, in order to qualify, an individual must be a starter or significant contributor in one's final year of eligibility and must meet all NCAA/NAIA-mandated progress towards degree requirements.

A four-year starter at long snapper, Borden did not commit a bad snap during his entire career. In 2018, the Pearl City, O'ahu native was a semifinalist for the Wuerffel Trophy, awarded to the player who best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement, and was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 8 team. In addition, he was a four-time academic all-Mountain West selection.Â

Eldridge played in all 14 games at defensive line in 2018. Over his career, the Wailuku, Maui native appeared in 35 games and finished with 50 tackles. He was a three-time academic all-MW pick.
