Justin Arcano shot an even par 72 Sunday on the first day of the 2018 Big West Conference Men's Golf Championship at the Industry Hills Golf Club.
The Wailuku, Maui native is currently in a six-way tie for 13
thplace heading into Monday's second round. As a team, the Rainbow Warriors are in ninth with a total of 309.
Arcano's round included an eight-hole stretch in which he was 4-under par with birdies on holes Nos. 5, 9, 11, and 12. He was 2-under for his round before carding bogeys on his final two holes.
Sophomore
Nick Nelson fired a 5-over 77 and is tied for 33
rdplace.
Cal State Fullerton holds a two-stroke lead in the team standings after a first round 282 ahead of UC Irvine and UC Santa Barbara. UCSB's Brandon Bauman is atop the individual leaderboard at 5-under 67, one stroke ahead of teammate Nick Swanson (68).
