Justin Arcano went five-under over his final six holes to finish with a 5-under 67 in the final round of the 27
th Amer Ari Invitational Saturday at the Waikoloa Resort Kings' Course.
The Wailuku, Maui native birdied his 13
th hole, the par-3, No. 7 then carded an eagle two on the par-4, No. 8. He birdied his next two holes to complete a four-hole stretch at 5-under par for UH's best round of the 2017-18 season.
No. 2 Oklahoma State captured its seventh Amer Ari title, finishing the three-day tourney at 47-under 817, 17 strokes better than runner-up Texas Tech (834). USC (837) finished third.
Individually, USC's Justin Suh, the nation's top-ranked golfer, edged out a pair of OSU golfers – Viktor Hovland and Matthew Wolff – to capture medalist honors at 13-under 203 after a final round 68. Hovland and Wolff each finished at 12-under.

Cameron Kaneko carded a 4-over 76 on Saturday to finish at 230 and 100
th place. Sophomore
Trevor Hirata posted 77 to tie for 101
st at 232. Sophomores
Desmond Mello and
Taiga Iwasa each tied for 108
th at 243 after identical final round 82.
The Rainbow Warriors will next host the 42
nd John A. Burns Intercollegiate Feb. 15-17 at Wailua Golf Course in Lihu'e, Kaua'i.
