HONOLULU – University of Hawai'i Athletics unveiled the renovated Nagatani Academic Center and women's sports locker rooms Friday. The $4.5 million project took less a year to complete and also houses offices for academic services, student affairs, and compliance departments as well as the office of the associate athletics director – senior woman administrator.

The facility occupies the same space as the former Nagatani Academic Center and women's locker room. It houses the renovated Mauka equipment room and locker rooms for softball, women's tennis, women's golf, cheerleading and sailing.

“We are so appreciative of the Facilities Management Office at UH-Manoa, in particular project manager Scott Morichika, who kept the project on schedule and within budget,” said Teri Chang, Assistant Athletics Director for Facilities. “This project allows us to continue our services and commitment to our student-athletes' well-being. It is the first of many ongoing and future repair and maintenance projects in the athletics complex over the next several months.”

The contractor for this project was Close Construction, Inc. and the architect was Inform Design.
