No. 5 Hawai`i Bounces No. 10 San Jose State For 5th Place At Stanford Invitational

PALO ALTO, Calif. - Kelly Mason's five goals propelled No. 5 Hawai`i past No. 10 San Jose State, 13-10, this afternoon in the fifth-place match of the Stanford Invitational at The Avery Aquatic Center.

The Rainbow Wahine (3-3) jumped all over the Spartans in the first half scoring five times in the first quarter and adding another four in the second to lead 9-3 at the half.

Kristy Bagnall sported a hat trick for the victors while Lisa van Raalte added two scores. Emily Cox, Angela Turnbull and Elizabeth Groh also found the net once in the win.

Hawai`i returns Honolulu to open their home stand Feb. 16 when UH hosted San Diego State at 4:00 p.m. at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Center.
