LONG BEACH, Calif. - No. 4 Hawai`i picked up two victories today in the final day of the Long Beach State Tournament. UH knocked off Cal State Bakersfield and San Diego State to go 4-0 in the two-day event.
In the first game against Cal State Bakersfield, UH rallied from an early 3-1 deficit to earn an 11-5 win over CSB. The Rainbow Wahine scored five goals in the fourth quarter to expand a 6-4 lead after three. Anna Sieprath, Beth Novick, and Monika Kruszona scored two goals apiece, wtih both of Novick's coming in the fourth.
In the second game, UH jumped all over San Diego State in the first taking a 5-1 lead, but SDSU cut the margin to 6-3 at the half. UH then shutout the Aztecs in the second half running away with a 9-3 win.
Hawai`i runs its record to 18-6 on the season and closes out the regular season against No. 2 USC at home next Sunday, April 24.
