WAIKOLOA, Hawai`i - As the only Rainbow Warrior remaining in the USTA's Hilton Waikoloa Village Futures tournament, University of Hawai`i freshman Sascha Heinemann failed to qualify into the tournament's 32-man Main Singles Draw.

In a tough battle on Monday, the qualifying draw's eighth-seed was ousted by former Rainbow Warrior and ninth-seeded Malino Oda, 7-5, 6-1, in the Qualifying Round Finals. With the win, Oda earned an entry into the Main Singles Draw in this professional circuit tournament.

Heinemann and teammate, junior Derrick Lajola will now compete in the 32-team Main Doubles Draw, beginning on Tuesday.
