DETROIT, Mich. - The University of Hawai`i Rainbow sailing team finished the first day of competition in the ICSA North American Coed Dinghy Championships in fourth place.
St. Mary's leads the way with 46 points, followed by Harvard (59), Tufts (59), Hawai`i (61) and Charleston (65).
UH's A-division team of Bryan Lake and Jennifer Warnock finished the first six races in sixth place, 19 points behind division-leading Charleston. Hawai`i's B-division team of Joey Pasquali and Sarah Hitchcock are in second place after four races with 20 points.
The championships will continue tomorrow before concluding Tuesday.
