SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The University of Hawai`i Coed Sailing team finished third in all four divisions at the North-South Intersectional this past weekend, to win the overall title by four points over Southern California.
The Rainbows won with a consistent effort from all divisions. The team of Matt Stein and Sarah Reed took third with 30 points in the A-division with two first-place finishes and two second-place finishes.
The B-division team of Eric Oppen, Richard Marsh and Cassandra Harris had 37 points with two first-place finishes. UH's C-division team added 35 points with a first-place finish and two seconds while the D-division team had three firsts to finish with 28 points.
Following the Rainbows (130) were USC (134), Georgetown (135), UC Irvine (142) and host UC Santa Barbara (156).
