Jeff Reinebold returned for his third stint with Hawai‘i football in January 2024 as a defensive line coach.

COACHING HIGHLIGHTS
  • Has more than four decades of coaching experience on the collegiate and professional levels. 
  • During his first stint as defensive line coach at Hawai‘i, developed three players  - Ikaika Alama-Francis, Melila Purcell and David Veikune - who were drafted and who played in the NFL. 
  • Helped coach the 2006 and ‘07 Hawai‘i teams that went a combined 23-4 overall and 15-1 in conference, while posting the team’s first undefeated regular-season and the school’s first-ever BCS bowl berth in the Sugar Bowl.
  • Part of a reclamation project at SMU in which he held the Mustangs to three straight bowl games and an appearance in the CUSA Championship game.   
  • In his first season at SMU, mentored Emmanuel Sanders, who enjoyed the best seasons for a receiver in school history before ultimately going on to a 12-year NFL career. 
  • In his first head coaching job in 1989, Rocky Mountain led the NAIA District VII in passing offense while the school finished with its first non-losing season in six years. 
  • During his four seasons coaching at Ivy league schools Dartmouth and Penn, the teams won a combined three conference titles.
  • Has spent nearly half his coaching career in the CFL, most recently with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2023, and also served as the head coach of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for two seasons (1987-88).  
  • Also coached in the NFL Europe with the Rhein Fire and Amsterdam Admirals, the latter of which he developed one of the league’s top special team’s units.
