Since 1993, Sharon Sakamoto has provided sports massage for UH women’s athletes competing in volleyball, basketball, softball, and soccer and also for the men’s volleyball team.
For the past six years, she has provided massage therapy for the women’s cross country and track and field teams both at home and on the road.
Sakamoto is a University of Hawai‘i graduate with a bachelor of science degree in health, physical education and recreation. She is a State of Hawai‘i licensed massage therapist and is also nationally certified by the National Certification of Therapeutic Massage Board.
She has been a self-employed, independent massage therapist since 1991 and has taught UH non-credit evening courses in “Beginning Massage.”
