2020-21 HAWAI‘I WOMEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

• Claimed the program’s fifth consecutive MPSF Championships on Feb. 20 by wracking up 794.50 points, 60 points better than second place BYU.

• The ‘Bows claimed eight event titles at the MPSF Championships, including three team-relay championships.

• A total of 12 different Wahine earned 25 all-MSPF first team honors and combined for 54 total awards with the addition of the all-MSPF second-team winners. 

• Sophomore Daphne Wils and freshman Elma Lund continued the women’s diving program dynasty with at least one UH representative at the NCAA Championships since 2004.

• Wils repeated as the NCAA Zone E 3-meter champion with a score of 621.70, catapulting herself from the No. 5 position of the prelims to the gold spot medal spot. She also finished in second place in the 1-meter dive.

• Head Coach Elliot Ptasnik was awarded as the MPSF Women’s Coach of the Year, while head diving coach Mike Brown and assistant diving coach Anita Rossing were named Co-Diving Coaches of the Year for the ninth consecutive season. 

• Wils was named back-to-back MPSF Diver of the Year, becoming the third diver in program history to be awarded the honor in consecutive seasons.

The Rainbow Wahine won their fifth consecutive MPSF title.

DIVING DOMINANCE

Rainbow Wahine divers have been regulars at the NCAAs for each of the last 17 years and this year was no different with a pair of divers qualifying.
