Season Ticket Holder Options for Postponed 2020 Football Season


On August 10, 2020, the Mountain West announced the indefinite postponement of all scheduled fall sports contests and MW championship events in response to ongoing challenges with the effective mitigation and management of the COVID-19 virus in conjunction with athletic competition. The MW Board of Directors prioritized the physical and mental health and well-being of the Conference’s student-athletes and overall campus communities in its decision.

The Mountain West will begin to explore the feasibility of rescheduling fall sports competition, including the possibility of those sports competing in the spring, and develop options for consideration.

"We support today's very difficult decision by the Mountain West Conference," UH Athletics Director David Matlin said. "We know that it was a difficult choice, but made wholly in the best interest of our student-athletes, our school, and our community. The absence of fall sports will be hard for us as a department, but more so for our student-athletes. We will continue to support them academically and mentally as we press forward with a safe path to get them back to a new normal of competition. Our athletic 'Ohana will get through these rough waters together."

2020 Football Season Ticket Holder Options
 
Options cover all season tickets, seat premiums, and parking paid to date.  Please select from the following: 
  1. Receive a credit towards the fall 2021 Football season.  Any payments made to date will be credited towards the fall 2021 Football season.
     
  2. Donate your payment to H-Club.  For those who are able, we humbly ask that you consider converting your payments to an H-Club contribution. Contributions will be credited towards 2020-2021 H-Club membership and are tax deductible, less the value of benefits earned.  

    Your generosity is deeply appreciated as our student-athletes, coaches and staff work to overcome unprecedented challenges.  Donors like you are the backbone of our athletics program and your support will be felt by our student-athletes now more than ever.  Mahalo for your support!

  3. Refund. You will be refunded the full amount paid to date.  If you paid by credit card, we will credit your card automatically within 2 weeks of the deadline.  For tickets paid with cash or check, a refund check will be mailed to the account holder and address on file in 6-8 weeks from the deadline.

Please make a selection by Tuesday, September 8, 2020.  If no selection is made by this date, you will automatically receive credit towards the fall 2021 Football season.


Frequently Asked Questions
  • Will I get my same seats next season (fall 2021)?
    • Yes, all season ticket holders will retain the same seats regardless of whether payments were made for the 2020 season or if a refund/credit option is selected.
       
  • If the season is delayed to spring 2021, will my credit apply to the spring season?
    • No.  Due to the uncertainty over what the season and schedule may look like, credits will only be applied to the fall 2021 Football season.
    • Ticket options for a possible spring season will be addressed at a later date.
       
  • Can I receive a refund or credit for my 2020-2021 H-Club membership contribution?
    • Due to the complex nature of H-Club impacting multiple sports, separate communication is forthcoming regarding 2020-2021 H-Club membership contributions.  Similar refund and credit options will be offered.
