“This was the most adaptable the team has been all season. They were making changes we were asking of them. Tonight we saw them adapt. New Mexico State is a solid team. But I was pretty proud of my team, I thought they had a good showing.”

 

“We had a really hard time handling the outside attack. They kept adjusting to us. If our block could have handled a few more balls it would have helped us defensively. With the most inexperienced team out here I think there is a lot of potential. We rely on two freshmen for 50 percent of our offense and they are doing a good job. With experience comes fewer errors.”

 

“We were pretty fatigued after the first game. We tried to get their feet up and had a team meal and got ready for the last match.”

 

 

 

“I felt like we were a little rusty. We had an hour practice yesterday and no practice the day before. The first match is always a little sketchy at times. I think Fresno State played really hard and they have improved a lot.”

 

“We were very average defensively. I think we are capable of being better at that. We can do better. Offensively we limited our attack errors, which is important for us.”

 

“I think we have a good idea of what people are going to do. I think teams are going to attack. I think our outside hitters are well-rounded players and they are focused they will handle the serve receive fine.”

 

“San Jose state is playing well and they have a ton of seniors. Seniors typically let it all hang out this time of year. Their hitters are taking good swings.”
