HONOLULU, Hawai‘i – Top seeded New Mexico State swept past No. 8 Fresno State (25-17, 25-17, 25-22) in the quarterfinals of the WAC Volleyball Tournament Thursday evening. With the win, the Aggies advance to face fifth-seeded San Jose State at 5 p.m. tomorrow.
New Mexico State hit .287 on the match, compared to the .145 of the Bulldogs. The Aggies also out-blocked Fresno State 9-2.
Lindsay Yon led NMSU with 11 kills and 12 digs for her 11th double-double of the seaosn. Krista Altermatt added nine kills and Amber Simpson had eight. Krystal Torres posted a match-high 14 digs.
Baylee Platt paced Fresno State with 14 kills and eight digs.
