Summary

Biography

2011-12 (Senior): Recorded a new personal best in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.96) at the WAC Championships (Feb. 22)…also earned two new personal bests at the Arena Invitational (Nov. 17) in the 50 freestyle (24.26) and 200 breast (2:31.28)…swam in all meets. 

2010-11 (Junior): Did not compete.

2009-10 (Sophomore): Was named academic all-WAC…finished fourth in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.87) against Loyola Marymount (Jan. 15)…swam against Wisconsin (Jan. 9) and finished seventh in the 200 breast (2:33.89), eighth in the 200 IM (2:16.30) and was part of the team that placed fifth in the 200 medley relay (1:51.84). 

2008-09 (Freshman): Finished 18th in the 100 freestyle (52.74), 20th in the 200 freestyle (1:54.09) and 24th in the 200 IM (2:12.35) at the WAC Championship (Feb. 25-28)...took 14th in the 200 free (1:57.41) and 50 free (26.22) at the Big West Shootout (Nov. 7-8).

Prep: A 2008 graduate of Pioneer High School in Woodland, Calif.…earned letters in cheerleading and swimming…team won league championships in 2007…named to the all-league team in 2005-2008…league’s most valuable player in 2007 and 2008…received presidential award for academics…all-league academic award.
Personal: Born in Woodland, Calif.…also played volleyball in high school…plans to major in nursing…has one older brother…parents are Connie and Mark Stephens of Woodland, Calif.
