Biography

2011-12 (Junior): Had her best performance of the season at the Western Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 22-25)…grabbed three season-bests in the 50 freestyle (24.24), 100 freestyle (52.32) and 200 freestyle (1:55.23)…was part of the team that took third (1:49.32) in the 200 Medley Relay against Wisconsin (Jan. 14).

2010-11 (Sophomore): Earned three personal bests at the Western Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 23-26) after finishing 12th in the 100 freestyle (51.53) and 18th in the 200 freestyle (1:51.14) and 1st in the 50 freestyle time trials (23.68)…also took 14th in the 50 freestyle preliminaries (23.71)…was part of the team that took 2nd in the 400 freestyle relay (3:21.02) and third in the 200 freestyle relay (1:32.44) and 400 medley relay (3:43.36)…kicked off the season against Seattle (Oct. 15-16) with four first-place finishes in the 200 freestyle (1:54.74), 50 freestyle (25.03) and in the 400 (3:59.79) and 200 medley relays (1:49.49).

2009-10 (Freshman): Was named academic all-WAC…earned a personal best after placing 10th in the 100 freestyle (51.86) at the WAC Championships (Feb. 24-27)…also was part of the team that finished third in the 800 free relay (7:29.18)…placed second in the 100 free (52.11) against Wisconsin (Jan. 9). 

Prep: A 2009 graduate of Istituti E. Deamicis in Milan, Italy… earned three letters in fencing.
 
Personal: Born in Milan, Italy…one sibling…plans to major in pre-med…parents are Raffaella and Paolo Accornero of Aureliosaffi, Italy.
