FIRST SERVE
- Hawai'i leads the all-time series, 63-6, which is the most wins against a single-opponent in program history. (62 wins vs. UC Santa Barbara and CSUN)
- UH holds a 29-4 advantage in La Jolla. After winning the first 18 meetings in La Jolla, Hawai'i is 11-4 since 2009.
- The teams split the season series in 2022, with the Tritons winning in five-set in the opener and the Warriors taking the rematch in straight sets.
- The Tritons have a win over Hawai'i in two of the last three seasons — 2021 Big West Tournament semifinals in Honolulu and 2022 regular season in La Jolla. Prior to that 2021 match-up, UH had a 17-match win streak in the series, and prior to that 2022 series, UH had won 10 straight over the Tritons in La Jolla.
- UH needs one win to clinch the No. 3 seed in the Big West Championship tournament. Hawai'i can finish no higher than third. (UC Irvine owns the tie-breaker over UH) However, two losses this week would drop UH to the No. 4 seed. (UH would win tie-breaker with CSUN)
- UH is hosting the Big West Championship next week at SimpliFi Arena. The top two teams clinch a first-round bye into the semifinals. UH is assured of playing in the quarterfinals for the first time. In five previous tournaments, the Warriors had earned a top two seed and bye into the semifinals each time.
- Two wins this weekend would give UH 23 for the season and a tie for the 10th-most in program history.
- UH's four losses in Big West play are tied for the most in a single-season since the league was formed in 2018. Hawai'i also lost four matches in the inaugural 2018 campaign (6-4).
- UH has dropped the opening set in five of its eight Big West matches this season, of which the Warriors ended up losing four of those matches.
- In eight Big West matches, UH has 33 aces in 31 sets played (1.06 a/s). However, UH is still the nation's leader in aces per set (2.08) for the season.
