HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i is excited to announce the launch of the "Ascension into the Mountain West Conference" campaign, a pivotal fundraising initiative to support all Rainbow Warrior and Rainbow Wahine programs as they prepare to become full members of the Mountain West Conference on July 1, 2026.
 
"We are thrilled for the opportunity to join the Mountain West Conference as full members," said Hawai'i Athletics Director Craig Angelos. "As we elevate our programs to compete at a higher level, donor support will be essential to our success both now and in the future. We invite all fans and supporters to find a way to get involved--especially through our MWC Ascension Fund."
 
This campaign will be a central part of a larger giving week celebration during Homecoming, providing the perfect opportunity for our entire campus, community and state to come together and celebrate the bright future of Hawai'i Athletics.
 
"Participation is powerful," added Angelos. "Let's rally together and make this the start of one of the most exciting and successful chapters in Hawai'i Athletics history."
