Rainbow Roundup Oct. 3, 2022

"Rainbow Roundup" is a weekly video series hosted by Emily Cervantes, recapping the week of UH Athletics news with highlights and sound bites.

The calendar has officially flipped over to October, and our 'Bows are making plenty of noise here on the islands and nationally. Including the Rainbow Wahine volleyball staying undefeated in Big West action.
  • The Women's volleyball team picked up back-to-back wins in consecutive weeks to keep their Big West record perfect at 4-0.
  • Soccer battled but were held scoreless in their only match of the week, with a 2-0 defeat at home to rival Long Beach State.
  • For the second time in three meets this season Cross Country notched a top-three finish, placing second at the Charles Bowles Invitational on Saturday with 78 points.
  • Hawai'i Men's tennis is aiming to build its reputation at the ITA All-American Championships by sending three players to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Only one remains, though, as Andre Ilagan will play on Wednesday, trying to improve on his semifinal finish from a year ago.
  • The swim and dive season is fast approaching as the Michael Stevens era is officially underway, with the Green and White exhibition taking place over the weekend.
  • Rainbow Warrior football is coming off a much much-needed bye week as they prepare for Mountain West for San Diego State this Saturday on the road.
