In the fall of 2020, the University of Hawai'i women's tennis team gave back in a nontraditional way. Over the fall semester, several student-athletes met with children at Waikiki Elementary as tutors, helping them with school work and becoming a much-needed friend via the computer screen during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Spearheaded by head coach Jun Hernandez, time usually reserved for training on the tennis court was used in another productive manner, Kristen Kumakura of H-TV has more on these special experiences.

'Bows Together is the Athletics Department theme for the year, which includes fundraising activities and a focus on service and social justice awareness in the community.
