WAIKOLOA, Hawai'i – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team posted its best score of the week at the 28
thAmer Ari Invitational in Saturday's final round at the Waikoloa Resorts Kings' Course. The Rainbow Warriors carded an even par 288 for an 891 total and 18
thplace.
Top-ranked Oklahoma State ran away with the team title for its second straight Amer Ari crown and eighth overall. The Cowboys totaled 47-under 817, 10 strokes better than runner-up No. 16 Auburn (827). No. 14 Texas finished third at 829.
Individually, the nation's top-ranked golfer Matt Wolff took medalist honors at 18-under 198, rallying past Texas' Cole Hammer, the 36-hole leader, who finished five strokes back in a tie for fourth at 13-under. Oregon's Edwin Yi and OSU's Zach Bauchou were runner-up at 15-under while last year's champion USC's Justin Suh tied for fourth at 13-under.
UH senior
Cameron Kaneko saved his best round for Saturday with a final round 4-under 68 to finish at 2-over 218 for the tournament and a tie for 58
thplace. The Huntington Beach, Calif., native posted six birdies and his 218 total matched the low round of his career.
Sophomore
Justin Arcano had four birdies in his round of 2-under 70. The Wailuku, Maui native totaled 223 for the week and a tie for 81
stplace.

Justin Ngan shot a final round 75 to finish tied for 90
thplace at 226 while sophomore
Cole Yoshida and junior
Nick Nelson tied for 96
that 228 after posting 76 and 75, respectively.
Four UH golfers competed as individuals with junior
Trevor Hirata leading the way with an even par 72 to finish 6-over 222 and a tie for 75
thplace. In his UH debut, newcomer
Matt Lloyd placed 108
that 248 after a final round 75. Also competing were senior
Bryden Salvador (235, 101
st) and freshman
AJ Teraoka (252, 109
th).
The Rainbow Warriors will next host the 43
rdannual John A. Burns Intercollegiate, Feb. 21-23 at the Wailua Golf Course in Līhu'e, Kaua'i.
