HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i at Mānoa today named HawaiianAirlines as the Official Airline of UH Athletics. The exclusive three-year sponsorship agreement broadens a sales partnership announced last year and makes Hawaiian the preferred carrier for  the university's 21 varsity athletic programs when they travel to and from competitions in North America.

"We are proud to name them our Official Airline and to continue the tradition of UH Athletics and Hawaiian Airlines working together to help our teams travel efficiently and comfortably."

UH-Mānoa men and women's teams will enjoy the convenience and flexibility of Hawaiian's comprehensive network of flights between Hawai'i and North America as they plan their itineraries for regular season and post-season games through the 2020-21 season. 
 
Off the courts and fields, UH Athletics and Hawaiian will partner on corporate social responsibility initiatives, with UH representatives and the airline's Team Kōkua employee volunteers helping support community causes throughout Hawai'i.
 
Hawaiian is a Diamond Level partner of UH Athletics and a sponsor for three decades. UH and Hawaiian will celebrate the new sponsorship during Friday's match between the Rainbow Wahine and Coastal Carolina at the Stan Sheriff Center. Hawaiian will offer all UH fans attending games this season the chance to win branded merchandise and prizes, including miles and flights.
 
The sponsorship between UH Athletics and Hawaiian Airlines was facilitated by IMG, the exclusive multimedia partner of UH Athletics.
