CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced its All-American Scholars for the 2013-14 season Wednesday and three University of Hawai'i women's golfers were among the 664 collegiate golfers recognized in Division I, II & III.
Freshmen
Brianna Becker and
Kelli-Anne Katsuda and sophomore
Nichole Cruz were named to the list. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 among the requirements.
Cruz, a sophomore from Rancho Murieta, Calif., was named an All-American Scholar for the second straight year. She competed in seven tournaments and finished with a 78.5 scoring average.
Becker, a freshman from Las Vegas, Nev., also competed in seven tournaments with one Top 10 finish. Katsuda, a freshman from Honolulu, competed in eight tournaments and posted a 78.1 scoring average.
