The No. 8 University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine volleyball team moved within one match of a perfect conference record with a 23-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-19, win over Cal State Fullerton on Wednesday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Emily Hartong had a match-high 23 kills and Kalei Adolpho hit at a .389 clip (10-3-18) for the 'Bows who improved to 17-0 in the Big West Conference and 25-2 overall. Kayla Neto carried the load for the Titans (15-15, 9-8 BWC) with 16 kills and 12 digs.

CSF struck first with a 25-23 win in set one. Neto had eight kills in the frame for the Titans who trailed for most of the set. UH led 15-13 but a trio kills by Torrie Brown (10 kills) helped give her team an 18-16 lead, one they would not relinquish.

The 'Bows responded in a big way. They opened set two on a 12-2 run highlighted by a cluster of kills from Hartong and Jane Croson (9 kills, 12 digs). CSF would stop the bleeding and play Hawai'i even for the remainder the set, but the damage had been done as UH evened the match heading to intermission.

Neither team got off to a hot start in set three, but UH began to distance itself midway through the set. Adolpho's three kills highlighted a 6-1 Hawai'i run and UH held on for the win. The momentum continued into the fourth set as the 'Bows used a 7-2 spurt midway through the set to seal the win.

Jade Vorster had seven kills and seven blocks, and Ali Longo recorded a team-high 14 digs.

Following the match, head coach Dave Shoji was recognized in a brief ceremony for his 1,100th career coaching win. This past Saturday at UC Davis he earned the milestone win with UH's sweep of the Aggies.

UH plays its regular season finale on Friday night against UC Riverside at 8:00 p.m. The match will be senior night for libero and defensive specialist Emily Maeda.
