NULL

HONOLULU - The University of Hawai`i finished 51st nationally among 119 Football Bowl Subdivision teams in total attendance for the 2007 season in figures released by the NCAA. The Warriors drew 304,600 fans in seven home games at Aloha Stadium for an average of 43,514 per game.

The 50,000-seat stadium was filled to 87 percent capacity partly due to five games of more than 40,000, including consecutive sellouts against Boise State and Washington to end the regular season.

UH led the Western Athletic Conference in attendance, easily outdrawing Fresno State, which drew 217,743 in six home games (avg. 36,291) and placed 68th nationally. Boise State ranked third in the WAC and 69th nationally with a total attendance of 212,366 in seven home games (avg. 30,338).

This year's per game average was the seventh highest in school history. The school record is 45,765 set in 1984. UH's two sellouts this season also tied the record set five different times, most recently in 1988.

In addition, the crowd of 74,383 for the Warriors' Allstate Sugar Bowl game against Georgia in the Louisiana Superdome, was the third highest-ever to witness a UH game in school history.
