Magnus Frick missed out on advancing to the 1-meter springboard finals today at the 12th FINA World Aquatic Championships.
Frick, who scored 374.10, was one of 12 semi-finalists split into two separate six-man groups. He placed fifth in group "A" while the other six participated in group "B." Only the top three finishers in each group advanced to the 1-meter finals that takes place later on tonight.
Advancing from the "A" group were Chong He of China (462.60), Christopher Sacchin of Italy (427.90) and USA's Christopher Colwill (400.75). The three from the "B" semi-finals that advanced were China's Yutong Luo (463.40), Ukraine's Illya Kvasha (422.60) and Artem Lvov of Russia (412.75).
The junior from Ingaro, Sweden, is participating for his native country and takes to the men's 3-meter springboard event Wednesday.
