DENVER - University of Hawai`i Rainbow starting pitcher
Ian Harrington was named the WAC Pitcher of the Week for Feb. 5-11.
This is the third-straight week a UH player won a conference award, with Kris Sanchez earning hitter of the week honors in the first two weeks of the season.
Harrington allowed just one run on four hits and one walk in 7.0 innings to get the win in a 13-1 UH victory over Pacific (Feb. 9). He also recorded a career-high nine strikeouts in the game.
The senior is now 2-1 on the year and has won six of his last seven starts, dating back to the 2006 season.
Louisiana Tech outfielder Brandon Hudson earned WAC Hitter of the Week honors.
The 'Bows head on the road for the first time this season, leaving Wednesday, Feb. 14, for a three-game series at UC Santa Barbara, starting Friday, Feb. 16.
