University of Hawai'i receiver Davone Bess was named to the Rivals.com All-America third team. He was the only Warrior named to either the first, second, or third teams.

Rivals.com had this to say about UH's leading receiver: "Bess ranks second among all active receivers with 281 career catches and 3,508 career receiving yards. He has 96 catches for 1,164 yards and 12 TDs this season, and ranks fourth in the nation in catches per game. Bess has caught at least 10 passes in five games this season. He had 15 receptions for 181 yards and two TDs against Boise State."

As a freshman in 2005, Bess was named to Rivals.com Freshman All-America team. He is a two-time all-Western Athletic Conference pick and last season was named an honorable mention All-American by SI.com.

Rivals.com's first-team All-America selections were Michael Crabtree of Texas Tech and Jordy Nelson of Kansas State. Named to the second team were James Hardy of Indiana and Mario Manningham of Michigan, while Bess and Harry Douglas of Louisville were third team picks.

Bess and the Warriors finish the regular season by hosting Washington, Saturday, Dec. 1. Kickoff is 6:30 p.m. at Aloha Stadium.
