Pierre-Henri Soero shot a second round 77 at the 105th U.S. Open on Pinehurst No. 2, missing the cut with a two-day score of 22-over-par 160 (83-77).
The New Caledonia native had two birdies, nine pars, five bogeys and two double bogeys on the round. His two birdies came on the seventh and 17th holes.
Soero continued his hot putting at the open, taking only 29 putts in the second round, to average just 27.5 putts per round, tied for sixth best in the tournament.
His two-round score of 160 placed Soero in a tie for 152nd place. The UH sophomore was one of just nine amateurs to play in the U.S. Open this year.
