DENVER - Hawai'i right-handed pitcher
Stephen Bryant has been named the Western Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of February 28-March 6.
Bryant, a senior from Chico, Calif. (Feather River CC), struck out a career-high 11 hitters in a 9-0 win over South Florida last Thursday. He allowed just three hits and three walks in eight innings and was named the First Hawaii
Title Rainbow Baseball Tournament Most Outstanding Pitcher.
It's the second time Bryant has won the award this season, after being named WAC Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 21.
UH hosts No. 3 Florida State this weekend for a three-game series, starting Thursday, March 10, at 6:35 p.m. at the Les Murakami Stadium.
