Novick Honored on All-America Third Team

AWPCA All-America Teams

University of Hawai'i's Beth Novick was named to the American Water Polo Coaches Association All-America third team, Tuesday. Novick led the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation with 64 goals this past season, and was the only Rainbow Wahine recognized.

The junior becomes just the ninth UH player in its brief history to earn All-America consideration. Last month, Novick made the 11-member All-MPSF first team, becoming the first UH player since Marie-Luc Arpin in 1998 to be named to that list.

USC's Moriah Van Norman received Player of the Year honors after leading the Trojans to the national title and an undefeated season (29-0). In addition, six of her teammates were also named to either the first, second, third, or honorable mention teams.

Novick currently ranks fourth on the school's career goals list with 116. The Evergreen Park, Ill., native led the Rainbow Wahine to a 13-15 mark and eighth place showing at the MPSF Tournament this season.
