UCSD Triton Invitational Day 2 Results
SAN DIEGO - A split University of Hawai`i women's track squad completed the final day of the UC San Diego Triton Invitation at the Triton Track and Field Stadium on the La Jolla campus.
Senior Olivia Smoody at the biggest day for the Rainbow Wahine as she finished in second place in the high jump with a leap of 1.70m (5-07). The heighth was her best jump of the spring and ranks her sixth in the league.
Personal bests were turned in by Sheena Thanin in the 1500m run (4:54.47), Nicole Wright (15.15) and Patricia Gauthier (15.59) in the 100m dash.
In the 3000m run, Jenny Bell took second-place honors with a time of 10:25.66, while Thain was ninth (10:46.26).
Other UH notables were Jessica Rohr's seventh-place finish in the 400m hurdles (1:05.38) and Kelsey Smith's sixth place in the javelin (40.47m / 132-09).
