Three Rainbow Wahine Named All-Americans

Kamana`o Named the National Freshman of the Year

DALLAS - The American Volleyball Coaches Association named their All-American teams today with three Rainbow Wahine, Kim Willoughby, Lily Kahumoku and Kanoe Kamana`o, named.

Willoughby was named a first-team All-American for the third-straight season. She became UH's first three-time first-teamer since Teee Williams from 1987-89 and Deitre Collins from 1981-1983.

Kahumoku was named to the second team after being a firt-team honoree in 2000 and 2002. She is one of just five Hawai`i players who was named an All-American three times.

Kamana`o was named to the All-American third team, while earning AVCA National Freshman of the Year honors. She became UH's first-ever national freshman of the year and just the second Hawai`i freshman to earn All-American honors during her freshman year.
