LONG BEACH, CALIF. – University of Hawai`i cross country All-American Cheryl Smith won the 5,000-meter run at the Long Beach State Track Classic this past Saturday.

Smith clocked a time of 17:08.22 in taking home first place. It was the second event in two days that she won. She also finished in first place at the Occidental College Distance Carnvial Friday in the 1,500-meter run.
