NULL

DALLAS - University of Hawai'i senior Predrag Savovic added another award to his list of honors this season, being named an Associated Press honorable mention All-American. The 6-foot-6 guard follows in the short list of former UH All-Americans Bob Nash, Tom Henderson, and Anthony Carter.

Savovic was named to the All-Western Athletic Conference first team this season as well as being selected to the National Basketball Coaches' Association All-District 13 team. In the team's WAC Tournament title run, he was named to the all-tournament team. Savovic leads the team in scoring (20.0 ppg) and is the fourth all-time leading scorer in school history.

In addition, he is also an accomplished student-athlete, carrying a 3.25 cummulative grade point average. Earlier this season, the international business and finance major was named to the Verizon Academic All-America and All-District VIII teams.

Savovic and the Rainbow Warriors are currently in Dallas preparing for its NCAA Tournament first round game against No. 7 seed Xavier at the American Airlines Center.
