Morgan Hoesterey

  • Title
    Graduate Assistant
Morgan Hoesterey enters her first year as a graduate assistant for the UH swimming team.  This will be Hoesterey’s first taste of assisting on the collegiate level, but she is no stranger to the pool.

A former Rainbow Wahine Swimmer (1999-2004), she holds UH records in the 100 and 200 Breast and 200 IM. She garnered NCAA All-America status her junior year, along with Western Athletic Conference honors.  After finishing up her career, she graduated in 2004 with a B.A. in zoology.

Before jumping into the pool at the Duke Kahanamoku Complex, Hoesterey was an All-American prep swimmer for Irvine High School in Irvine, Calif.

Hoesterey likes to surf, free-dive and paddleboard. She volunteers with ocean-preservation organizations, such as the Surfrider Foundation and Reef Check Hawai`i.  She lives in Honolulu with her husband, former Warrior swimmer, Anders Jonsson.
