HONOLULU – University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine beach volleyball coach
Jeff Hall announced that a trio of high school seniors have signed commitments to join the SandBows next fall. Joining UH are Maia Hannemann, Sabrina Hardisty, and Anna Maidment.
"We're excited for such valuable additions to our program," Hall said. "This trio of promising young women have the understanding, experience, and ability to do great things on the court, in the classroom and out in the community. They're not only amazing athletes, they're exceptional people. We can't wait to have them on campus next fall."

Won 20 beach tournaments in a row at the age of 12….won the U16 NVL RIZE Global Challenge National Championship and was voted as the best defensive player…captured the Global Challenge again in 2017 in the U18 division…father is former Rainbow Warrior volleyball player Albert "Al-B" Hannemann who played 18 years professionally on the AVP tour and is the director of Club Med NVL Academy in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
Hall on Hannemann: "Maia is beach volleyball royalty that grew up immersed in the beach game and culture. She's smart, talented and has a burning desire to be the best. We are lucky to have her represent the Rainbow Wahine with a signature pride and excellence that her Hannemann family name bestows."
Sabrina Hardisty

Has medalled in over 20 tournaments including CBVA Women's Tournaments in the U14, U16 and U18 division… finished runner-up at the AVPFirst - Huntington Beach U18 division this past summer…earned her Women's AA CBVA rating in 2015…in indoor volleyball helped her teams qualify for the Open Division at Nationals while playing for the top club teams at Austin Juniors, Coast Volleyball Club and Wave Volleyball Club….also an accomplished cellist…full name is Sabrina Ann Lokahiokalani Hardisty.
Hall on Hardisty: "Sabrina is a gem and our entire Mānoa community will be quick to realize she is something very special on and off the court. We're delighted she is joining our program and are excited for the great things to come in her career as a student athlete at UH"

Hall on Maidment: "Anna is another in our developing line of imported greats from 'north of the border.' She is a Canadian beach national champion with the pedigree and hunger to make her way up the ranks of the NCAA. We proudly welcome her and her family to our UH volleyball 'ohana."
