HONOLULU - The University of Hawai'i has agreed to home-and-home football games with Pacific-10 foe Oregon State, Athletics Director Herman Frazier announced today. The agreement pits the Warriors against the Beavers on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, at Aloha Stadium, and includes a future game in Corvallis, Ore.
"We are very pleased to come to closure with Oregon State on a game in Honolulu," Frazier said. "We have a wonderful relationship with the Pac-10 Conference and its member institutions and we hope this leads to additional scheduling opportunities in the future."
The all-time series between Hawai`i and Oregon State is tied at 3-3. The last time the teams met was on Dec. 25, 1999, when Hawai`i defeated the Beavers, 23-17, in the Jeep Oahu Bowl at Aloha Stadium.
The 2006 Warrior football non-conference schedule also includes the season opener at Alabama on Sept. 2, and home games against UNLV (Sept. 16) and Purdue (Nov. 25).
