2015 AVCA Pre-season Poll 

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The 2015 AVCA Preseason Coaches Poll was released Wednesday with the University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine volleyball team ranked No. 18. The Rainbow Wahine were also voted as preseason favorites to win the Big West Conference.
 
Head Coach Dave Shoji begins his 41st season at the University of Hawai 'i coming off the team's 33rd NCAA Tournament appearance. The 'Bows hava a solid core of 12 returnees—including five starters. Leading the UH charge is a trio of All-Big West first teamers in outside hitters Nikki Taylor and Tai Manu-Olevao and 2014 AVCA All-America Honorable Mention member Olivia Magill, who dominated the Big West on both sides of the net with league highs in hitting percentage (.405) and blocks (1.34). Last season, UH finished the season ranked at No. 23 in the AVCA poll. 
 
Hawai'i's upcoming opponents--Florida and UCLA were ranked No. 4 and 20 respectively in the preseason poll, while Long Beach State, Oregon State, Wichita State, and American all received votes. LBSU, who captured the 2014 Big West crown with an undefeated 16-0 mark, was the first school listed in the receiving votes category.

The Rainbow Wahine open their season with the Chevron Rainbow Wahine Invitational, August 28-30, where they are set to host Idaho, Oregon State and Wichita State.
