HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i beach volleyball team serves up the 2015-16 campaign this week with the 2^nd annual Pac Rim Beach Volleyball Championships on Nov. 27-28.
 
Friday's matches, dubbed the International Competition, will take place at the Ching Courts on the UH-Manoa campus with the first matches beginning at 6:00 p.m. Saturday's pairs tournament will get underway at 8:00 a.m. at Queen's Beach in Waikiki.
 
Friday's competition features a handful of top-level talent. UH will be joined by USC's national champion duo of Kelly Claes and Sara Hughes, the Canadian twin sister pair of Megan and Nicole McNamara from UCLA, and the Team Japan tandem of Miki Ishii and Megumi Murakami.
 
Saturday will feature a 16-team pairs tournament. Included are teams from the International Competition as well as pairs from the University of Arizona, Chaminade and Hawai'i Pacific.
 
Also on the docket for the Pac Rim Championships are clinics held by UCLA coach Stein Metzger, UH assistant coach Evan Silberstein, USC coach Anna Collier and Gold Medal coach Dane Selznick.
