Biography

2014 (Senior): An AVCA All-American…team-best 42-7 record…went 38-6 with primary partner and fellow All-American Brittany Tiegs…played every match at the No. 1 position…along with Tiegs, finished runner-up at the AVCA Pairs National Championship…advanced to the finals in four other pairs tournaments…captured the Rainbow Wahine Invitational, the Stanford Tournament and the Big West Challenge…runner-up in the Rainbow Wahine Spring Challenge…semifinalist in two USAV Beach Collegiate Challenge events (Chula Vista and Hermosa Beach)…posted a 21-3 record in dual matches and  21-4 in tournaments…posted identical 19-3 records in dual and tournament play with Tiegs…tallied a 9-4 mark in three-set matches….won 19 of first 21 matches of the year…enjoyed a season-long 12 match win streak.

Prior To UH: A four-year letterwinner at Stanford University in California…setter helped team capture conference titles in three of her four seasons…team also advanced to the NCAA Regional finals twice… garnered All-Pac-12 Conference honorable mention in 2011 and All-Pac-10 Freshmen Team accolades in 2009…earned conference all-academic honors three straight seasons…a Lowe’s Senior Class Award nominee.
 
Prep: A 2009 graduate of Harbor High School in Santa Cruz, Calif. ... lettered all four years in volleyball and one in track ... a four-time first-team all-league pick ... the 2005 SCCAL Freshman of the Year and the 2006 SCCAL Sophomore of the Year ... SCCAL MVP in 2007 and 2008…served as team captain for three years... led team to two Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League championships, two CCS runner-up finishes and a pair of state tournament appearances ... selected to Volleyball Magazine Fab 50…tabbed No. 25 on PrepVolleyball.com’s Senior Aces. … played for Main Beach Volleyball Club… earned AAA rating three times as a beach player, winning three tournaments (Hula Women’s AA, Financial Solutions Women’s Open and UCSC Slug Benefit Bash Women’s Open… named Most Valuable Player at USA Junior Olympic Girls’ Volleyball Championships in the U18 American Division after leading her club to the title…also named to the Las Vegas Invitational first team...competed with the USA Junior National Team at the 2009 World Championships in Mexico.
 
Personal: Born in Salt Lake City, Utah… a product design major at Stanford…has three siblings…younger brother Brian is a member of Stanford men’s volleyball team, father, David, played collegiate basketball at the University of San Diego and professionally for the Newcastle Falcons in Australia ... mother, Suzy, played collegiate volleyball for United States International University ... parents are David Cook and Suzy Cook-Loustalot.
