2010-11 (Junior): Multi-sport athlete joined the team 12 games into the season…played in 20 of the team’s final 21 games, eventually sliding into a starting role at point guard… averaged 5.4 ppg and team-high 3.8 apg in 22.9 mpg...led the team in assists (76) and steals (26), despite playing in just 20 games…earned the starting nod in seven of the team’s last eight contests...52 assists (6.5 apg) in those final eight contests...proved particularly indispensable late in the season, averaging 38.0 mpg in UH’s final five games and playing all but one minute on the court in UH’s last three contests… joined team full-time on Dec. 25, one day after the conclusion of football season...made UH debut on the hardwood in the first half against Mississippi State (Dec. 25), logging in two minutes...scored first collegiate points, while adding two assists in six minutes at Nevada (Dec. 31)...played 12 minutes at Louisiana Tech including during crunch time of 56-48 road win...tallied two points and a steal...three points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 18 minutes against Fresno State (Jan. 20)...enjoyed career game against No. 25 Utah State, tallying 15 points, six assists and three steals in 38 minutes during double-overtime loss, just days after the passing of his father…12 points and eight assists while playing 37 minutes in road win at Boise State (Feb. 3)...made first career start at UC Davis (Feb. 19) and responded with nine points, seven assists and three steals in 31 minutes...12 points and seven rebounds in win over Louisiana Tech (Feb. 24)...seven assists in win over New Mexico State (Feb. 26)...career-high 10 assists, five rebounds and no turnovers in road win over San Jose State (March 3)...eight rebounds, eight assists and no turnovers while playing all 40 minutes vs. San Jose State in WAC Tournament (March 9)...career-high 17 points, including 12 in the second half, in CIT first-round win over Portland (March 15)…nine points, six assists and two steals in CIT second-round game vs. San Francisco (March 19).
Football: A two-year letterwinner as a slot receiver on the Warrior football team....redshirted in 2008.
Prep: A 2007 graduate of Punahou School in Honolulu, O‘ahu...a two-time all-state and three-time all-league selection at slotback...also returned kicks...named the 2006 state Offensive Player of the Year as a senior...led the state in receptions (81) and yards (1,317)...scored 10 touchdowns...helped Punahou to league title and state runner-up finish as a junior...also a four-time all-state first-team selection in basketball...led team to league title and state runner-up finish as a senior...inducted into the 2007 Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association Hall of Honor.
