For the second consecutive week, University of Hawai'i opposite
Rado Parapunov was selected as the Big West's Player of the Week, this time after helping lead the Rainbow Warriors to a two-match series split of No. 1 Long Beach State.
This marks the fifth Big West weekly award for a UH player this season.
The sophomore from Sofia, Bulgaria led the team in kills in both matches, including 19 in a five-set win to spoil LBSU's attempt for an undefeated regular season. He also tallied 20 kills in a five-set loss in a match that lasted three hours and 13 minutes.
For the week, Parapunov averaged 3.90 kills, 1.10 digs, and 0.50 blocks per set, hitting .278. He now has three 20+ kill matches on the season and 13 matches in double figures.
Earlier in the day, Parapunov was selected All-Big West honorable mention.

Larry Tuileta was Defensive Player of Week following a two-match split with UC Irvine. Middle blocker
Patrick Gasman was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week after UH's sweep of UC San Diego and Parapunov earned the co-Player of the Week last week following the Warriors' sweep of UC Santa Barbara.
