2018 Baseball Season Tickets On Sale Now

HONOLULU – Season tickets for the 2018 University of Hawai'i baseball season are on sale starting Tuesday, January 16. Fans can purchase season tickets online, visit the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office (Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.) or call (808) 944-2697 during the same hours.

The Rainbow Warriors play 32 games in the friendly confines of Les Murakami Stadium, where they ranked among the top 20-attended teams in the nation and were again first in the west region in average attendance last season.

The Rainbow Warriors have traditionally brought a strong slate of opponents to the islands and 2018 is no different – fans have come to expect outstanding competition from both the non-conference and the ever-formidable Big West Conference; as UH enters its sixth season in the league. Last season, the Rainbow Warriors fifth in the BWC – one of the toughest baseball conferences in the country, which has produced a College World Series participant for four consecutive years.

Following a Feb. 10 Alumni Game, the Rainbow Warriors open the season in a four-game stretch against Air Force from Feb. 16-18, as the Falcons come off leading the nation with a .344 team batting average. Back-to-back series with BYU (Feb. 22-24) and Loyola Marymount (March 1-4) follow, pitting UH against the reigning top teams in the West Coast Conference. Both teams won 38 games last season and were Co-Champions of the league, though only BYU went to the NCAA Regionals. The Cougars and Rainbow Warriors renew a 74-game Western Athletic Conference rivalry dormant since 2006.

After returning from a road matchup against defending NCAA Runner-up LSU in Baton Rouge, the Rainbow Warriors will host first-ever meetings against Illinois State (March 15-17) and Seton Hall (March 23-26) in back-to-back weekends for the final non-conference home series.

The Big West Conference remained among the nation's best leagues last season, ranking eighth in conference RPI for the second consecutive year, and there are no signs of any setbacks in league strength for the coming season. Hawai'i will open the conference slate on the road, heading to UC Irvine and UC Davis, meeting Pacific in a non-conference one-off in between.

The conference home-opening series is set for April 13-15 with UC Riverside coming to Les Murakami Stadium. Ending out April and opening up the new month, UH will take a six-game home stand against CSUN (April 27-29) and Cal Poly (May 4-6), leaving No. 8 Long Beach State for Senior Weekend (May 18-20).

As in previous seasons, UH will again host autograph sessions on the field following Friday night contests.
