UH Football Signee & 100th Anniversary Celebration Set For Feb. 4 At Murphy’s

HONOLULU – University of Hawai'i fans are invited to celebrate the 2009 football recruiting class and help kick-off the 100th Anniversary of UH football on Wednesday, Feb. 4, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Merchant Street in front of Murphy's Bar & Grill in downtown Honolulu.

Head Coach Greg McMackin will discuss each of the student-athletes that officially signed with the Warriors earlier in the day and there will be video highlights of the recruits. The first day that football recruits can sign a National Letter of Intent with NCAA schools is Wednesday, Feb. 4.

“We have been working extremely hard to put together a quality recruiting class and we're excited about announcing our new Warriors,” McMackin said. “I hope we have a great turnout at Murphy's on Feb. 4, so we can celebrate our new players and the 100th Anniversary of UH football with our fans.”

UH will be accepting $50 non-refundable deposits for new season tickets for the 2009 season at the event and Rainbowtique will be selling items with the 100th Anniversary logo, along with other UH merchandise.

ESPN 1420 will broadcast live from the event. Admission is free and food & beverages will be sold.
