2015 (Senior): Made the 2015 AVCA All-American First-Team and All-MPSF First-Team for the second-straight year...earned him his first CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District First-Team honor…also won UH’s 2015 Jack Bonham Award…led the MPSF and ranked second in the nation in hitting percentage at .488 (329-59-553)…additionally ranked fifth in the country and second in conference blocking with 151 total blocks (1.32 B/S)…went 13 matches hitting at .500 or with six over .600 not committing more than six errors in a single match and pulling off six matches without error…grabbed UH’s second-highest rally-scoring single-season hitting percentage in school history… also landed among the program’s top-five in single-season rally-scoring leaders at third in solo blocks (17), fourth in block assists (34) and fifth in total blocks (151)…reached for his second career double-double this season at UC San Diego (March 28) with 14 kills and a career-high 13 blocks at the peak of UH’s 16-match winning streak…earned two MPSF/Molten Player of the Week awards (Jan. 5, Jan. 19) and one as AVCA Sports Imports Player of the Week (Jan. 20) award…landed fifth all-time in career hitting percentage at .419 (839-217-1485), eighth in all-time career solo blocks (53), fifth in block assists (353) and tied for fourth in total blocks (406)…additionally named to Volleyball Magazine’s 2015 First-Team.
2014 (Junior): Named first-team AVCA All-American and first-team all-MPSF…finished fourth in the Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. National Blocker of the Year voting…started all 27 matches and played in all 102 sets at middle blocker…led the nation with a .477 hitting percentage and ranked eighth with a 1.22 blocking average…ranked second in the MPSF in hitting and fifth in blocking…also averaged 2.17 kills per set and tallied 14 service aces…hit .500 or better 16 times, including 12 matches of .600 or better…notched four error-less matches…posted first double-figure blocking total of his career with 12 against Cal Baptist (Feb. 12)…tallied three matches with eight or more blocks…had double figure kills in eight matches…matched career high of two service aces five times… season-high 14 kills on .500 hitting and eight blocks and eight digs at UC Santa Barbara (Jan. 31)…did not record a hitting error in 13 swings with 10 kills, hitting .769 against UC San Diego (Jan. 26)…recorded 12 kills in 17 swings with only one error, hitting .647 at Pacific (March 18)…also had 12 kills each Long Beach State (Jan. 17), UCLA (Feb. 28), and at Pepperdine (April 12)…finished with eight blocks against BYU (April 4)...named to MPSF all-academic team.
2013 (Sophomore): Named honorable mention all-MPSF…started 22 matches primarily at middle blocker…appeared in 26 matches and 107 sets…started the season as a back-up before starting the final 20 matches…averaged 1.50 kills and 0.84 blocks per set…ranked fifth in the MPSF with a .435 hitting percentage…also tallied nine service aces…in MPSF Tournament quarterfinal match at BYU (April 20), recorded a career-high 16 kills, hitting .393 with three digs and four blocks playing the opposite position…had 13 kills hitting .706 at UC San Diego (April 12)…did not record a hitting error in 14 swings with 11 kills (.786 percentage) in win over Pacific (March 22)…had 12 kills and seven blocks against Stanford (Feb. 1)…matched career-high with two aces against Cal State Northridge (March 1)…career-high eight blocks against USC (March 8)…posted four matches with double figure kill totals…named to MPSF all-academic team.
2012 (Freshman): Started 13 matches at opposite…appeared in 25 matches playing in 78 sets…averaged 1.65 kills, 0.92 digs and 0.53 blocks per set…hit .197 on the season…season-highs of 12 kills, 10 digs and seven blocks against Grand Canyon (Jan. 28)…matched season-high in at Stanford (March 6)….hit .400 (12-4-20) with two service aces against the Cardinal…had stretch of six consecutive matches with double-digit kills from Pepperdine (Jan. 21) through UC Irvine (Feb. 10) matches...hit .391 (10-1-23) with five digs against the Anteaters...named to MPSF all-academic team.
National Team: Member of the U.S. Men's Junior National Training team in 2010…also played on the U.S. Youth National Training Team...member of the 2009 Boys’ Youth A2 Team and High Performance A2 team.
Prior To UH: Attended UC Irvine for one semester…did not play in any regular season matches.
Prep: A 2010 graduate of Branham High School?in San Jose, Calif…earned four letters in volleyball…led team to Central Coast Section championship and a 25-3 overall record as a senior…member of Blossom Valley Athletic League Mt.
