Track & Field Trio, Team Captures All-Academic Awards

University of Hawai'i track and field athletes Amanda Alvarez, Madara Apine, and Samantha Balentine were selected as U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) all-academic honorees. The trio was among 676 student-athletes who were honored during the 2012 season.

In addition, the Rainbow Wahine were honored as an all-academic team by the USTFCCCA. A total of 171 institutions earned the distinction as a result of a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better.

Both Apine and Balentine were selected to the USTFCCCA all-academic team last season.
