HONOLULU - University of Hawai'i men's basketball head coach Gib Arnold announced that sophomore guard Bobby Miles has elected to transfer to a school closer to home for the 2012-13 season.

“I have really enjoyed coaching Bobby,” Arnold said. “He is a great kid to be around and a good teammate. I wish him the best on finding a school closer to home to fit his needs.”

Miles, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound guard from Los Angeles, Calif., appeared in 55 games with 17 starts during his two seasons as a Rainbow Warrior. As a freshman he played in 29 games, while starting 10 contests, and finished fourth on the team in assists (56). He finished fourth on the team in assists (40) this past season also after starting seven of 26 games in the backcourt.
