Diving Concludes First Day Of Georgia Tech Invite

ATLANTA, Ga. – The University of Hawai'i men's & women's diving teams concluded day one of the Georgia Tech Invitational on Friday evening at the Campus Recreation Aquatic Center.
 
Senior Luke Hayes along with junior Genevieve Bradley and freshman newcomer Lauren Hall were the three divers to represent Hawai'i for the three-day event. Hayes participated in the preliminary rounds in the morning finishing sixth with a score of 294.70.
 
For the women, Bradley and Hall both dove in the preliminary round for the 3 meter dive. Hall finished sixth for the Rainbow Wahine with a score of 303.80 to advance to the finals. Bradley also participated in the preliminaries and finished 13th with a score of 228.70. In the final round Hall did not place on the 3 meter and scored 293.80 to finish off the night.
 
Among the teams competing were Miami, Florida State, Alabama, Georgia Tech, Florida Gulf Coast, and Clemson. Carri Dragland of Miami won the women's 3 meter (334.90) while Tom Neubacher of Florida State won the men's 1 meter (363.75).
 
Action continues tomorrow for the diving teams with the women's 1 meter and men's 3 meter events. Preliminaries kick-off at 11 a.m. EST and finals begin at 4:30 p.m. EST.
